The History of Forge Real Estate
1973- A small group of energetic young men from various occupations decided that the Australian Real Estate Industry would benefit from a more enthusiastic approach. This included the day to day operational formats, the development of professional data systems in line with the more advanced American business model of the day and most important, the recruitment and ongoing training process of industry employees. “FORGE REAL ESTATE” was born and “Forging ahead” was the new order of the day.

1973- FORGE REAL ESTATE had its first Sydney office in Castle Hill and its new innovative approach quickly attracted many to join its ranks. Buyers and Sellers also took little time to realize that the new FORGE era in Real Estate marketing was providing outstanding results.
In next to no time, Forge Real Estate moved its head office to Parramatta and opened franchise offices at an extra ordinary rate Baulkham Hills, Toongabbie, Windsor, Blacktown, St. Mary’s, Penrith, Liverpool, Fairfield, Campbelltown, Auburn, Hornsby and other Sydney suburbs. Forge Real Estate offices also opened interstate and some international affiliations were established as well.
1980’s saw an unprecedented growth in the development of western Sydney Real Estate markets and generally along the eastern seaboard of NSW and QLD.
The mid 1980’s also brought the “recession we had to have” courtesy of the then Prime Minister, Paul Keating. It was during this time that ownership of the company passed to the present Directors with ensuing restructuring of the company’s operations including the cessation of franchise operations.
Forge Project Marketing Pty Ltd which now owns the FORGE REAL ESTATE brand, focused largely on its extensive coastal, rural and leisure Real Estate marketing operations along the length of the entire coasts of NSW & QLD. The number of sales achieved from a combination of sub divisional land sales, house and land project sales, unit development sales, time share sales are estimated to be in the vicinity of 40,000 in total.
This made Forge Project Marketing Pty Ltd trading as FORGE REAL ESTATE one of the most successful privately owned Real Estate company of our time.
The late 1980’s saw the company’s focus return to new massive development projects in western Sydney after being engaged by Kordan Pty.Ltd. and other high profile development groups to market almost 2000 Land lots and House and land packages.
1989 saw the opening of the Forge Green Valley office, followed by Forge Bonnyrigg, Forge Wallacia and Forge Batemans Bay in the ensuing years
The early 1990’s saw a renewed appointment of Forge Project Marketing Pty Ltd by Realty Realizations Pty Ltd one of the state’s largest private land holder and other groups to assist in the marketing of numerous Land developments on the South Coast of NSW totaling close to another 3000 lots.
Following the introduction of the annual Business Awards in the late 1990’s Forge Real Estate and its employees were proud recipients of the:
“MOST OUTSTANDING REAL ESTATE AGENCY AWARDS” for 1997, 1999, 2000, 2004 and 2006
and “BEST BUSINESS AWARD” in 2004 !!
At the 2004 awards the directors of Forge announced their intentions to retire after 35 years in the industry, however changes to the Real Estate market brought about shortly thereafter by rising interest rates and various taxes made it important that ongoing strong leadership was in existence, negating any plans the proprietors may have had.
2005 to 2008, Forge Real Estate has been committed to ensure traditional strong ongoing service to its customers at all times and was again the recipient of the “Most outstanding Real Estate Agency “award in 2006.
2009- The year following crashes in property values due to the global financial crisis and subsequent falls in interest rates should prove to be an interesting opportunity for the astute home buyer and investor. There are many great buys in the market place and individual purchasing power is at its highest in the last 5 years.
Having sold several Forge Real Estate offices in the last 2 years has allowed us to focus on the operation of the Forge Real Estate Wallacia-Penrith Valley office with great success.This was with the help of a fully staffed team of professionals in sales and property management alike.
2010- saw the opening of Penrith's newest Real Estate office, ForgeReal Estate Penrith.
This large and prestigious office heralded the return of Forge Real Estate to the Penrith / Blue Mountain region, following in the footsteps of the previous Penrith office in 1981.
Today's new Penrith office is less than 500 metres from its predecessor. We are soon expected to further expand our new office by adding an In House Auction and Investment Seminar centre.
